Before Megan and I attended her family’s BBQ, we had our fun out of the OC bubble and kept our artistic works in Venice Beach. I hardly ever visit Venice since i live miles away from the area; however, after photographing Kevin and Joy’s engagement session–I will be going back soon! The lighting that morning was perfect with little beams of sunlight coming through the clouds. The surrounding locations had an organic feeling with beautiful decorated houses and blue tree branches. Seriously, blue tree branches was something i would never expected to see until it caught my eyes. I photographed this engagement session expressing more of a lifestyle type session that engaged the two in their surroundings. Knowing that both love nature and palm trees, i wanted to capture every details that represented California. The reason behind having a California theme and wearing matching Hollister shirts was to allow their family in Taiwan to know how different our landscapes and cultural attributes were widely ranged throughout the country. All in all, we had a wonderful time with Kevin and Joy. It was quite the story when they shared and spoke about the memorable moments when they first met at Urth Cafe, but that story will be continued on their wedding day.
