July 2010 went by quick! Even then, summer flew over my head, and now i’m back in the dungeon–also known as school. Luckily, this will be my last year in college. When i first meant Julian and Cynthia, i knew that our connections were strong. Julian is a videoagrapher caputring moments in a cinematic style. Once he told me his technical specialty side, our conversations just grew larger and larger. Here are images from his wedding day. Enjoy!

Two weeks ago was one of the biggest weddings i had photographed this year. The day started out early with the bride and bridemaids getting their make-up done at the Hyatt Hotel in Long Beach. I remembered this day so well after being fed Lee’s sandwiches and egg rolls as i photographed the morning. With make-up being done to putting on the dress, the bridal party were on their way for the “first look.” Elizabeth was the happiest bride on the block. Pacing herself to meet the man of her life, Liz approached Paul from behind. One thing i can’t forget was the grand entrance to the ceremony. Growing up, i always loved the ocean and found sea creatures to be fascinating. I never thought that a wedding could ever take place in an aquarium, but it gave an idea for future references. Aquarium of the Pacific was the place where Paul and Elizabeth shared vows with one another. As the night went on, surprises were shown on the dance floor. Through months of planning, Paul made Elizabeth’s dreams came true. A grand piano positioned on the dance floor with a talented singer named Matt Giraud who came to perform. Matt was on American Idol season 8 finalist, which he made a stunning performance on their wedding day. The night went smoothly as i went from table to table photographing Paul and Elizabeth greeting their guests. I am thankful to be able to capture their memories.

In 2008, these two love birds were natural as they were in front of the camera for their engagement session. In 2010 the moment of love and laughter shown in each of their images; their wedding day had finally arrived. With great joy in photographing Tri and Cammie’s wedding with my fellow assistants Megan Pangan and Josh Yu, it was one of the best weddings we enjoyed shooting. The day had two traditional tea ceremony and one traditional wedding ceremony at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.

As the day went from day to night, they both partied hard in celebration of the moment they’ve been waiting for. Guest cheering and whistling, the reception area was packed with 200 + guests. We all had lots of fun and enjoyed every little bits and pieces of the wedding. I want to thank you Tri and Cammie for all the memories that was shared with us.

Few months ago i photographed two lovely couples at Santa Monica Pier for an engagement session. Through spending numerous of time laughing and enjoying the day with David and Candice, my assistants ( Megan Pangan and Josh Yu ) and i felt touched and honored to have the privilege in photographing their special day. We were all amazed as we approached the grand entrance to Langham Hotel in Pasadena. One of the most gorgeous hotels i had ever seen that was privately located on a hill that over looked Los Angeles. To end our day, we finished with a private session at Lacy Park and had a great time photographing their love for each other.

I kept on crossing my fingers and praying that it would not rain on Saturday. As i woke up knowing that someone is listening to me. The clouds came over and not a single drop of water rinse over me. Driving from one highway to the next with my lovely partner Megan on the passenger side. We rapidly scope out the doors of Norwalk, California. Meeting with one of our fellow photographers, Jessie, who has introduced us to a wonderful couple named Mark and Ridi. As the day progresses into a new beginning for these two young couples, their lives were about to change. From the kiss that spelled out love to laughters from the crowd, Mark and Ridi was officially married. It was pleasure to be able to share the moments with them. Congratulations Mark and Ridi!

February 6, 2010 9:00 am. Megan, Jessie, and i drove to the bride’s house to sneak up on her to get some morning shots. Every bride seems to be always embarrass at first knowing that they are not fully ready for the big day. As i always see it, the before and after images of a makeover does not say much in an image other than the memories of an eventful day. We all enjoyed the laughter that was shared between the bride and her bridesmaids. Happy tears seen in their eyes knowing that their girlfriend is moving onto a new life. The day was unforgettable.

I deeply enjoyed these cultural weddings and i’m excited to be able to share to you what i have photographed at The Villa.

About a couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege in traveling to Cancun, Mexico with Doug from Furious Photographers in second shooting for Tiffany and Ly’s wedding. The weather was beautiful and the ocean was quite better than Hawaii in my perspective. I still cannot get over how cheap the currency rate is for a tourist location. I will definitely visit Cancun as i get more settled down with more vacation time.

As for Tiffany and Ly, they are like D & G models. They made images look so perfect like you will actually think it was from a GQ magazine. Despite with all the wind, nature has provided unique edges to my photos. I hope you all enjoy it!

About two months ago, i was contemplating in taking a vacation since school has been so stressful. Luckily, Lawrence from Tofurious invited me to come along in assisting him on his weddings in Cancun, Mexico. Overall, it was an amazing trip being able to see historic ruins and nice clear blue beaches.

Last Saturday, we spent our time photographing Colleen and Hector’s wedding in Isla Mujeres. It is located off the coast of Cancun, Mexico. Despite of motion sickness from a 1 hr boat ride; however, Isla Mujeres is remarkably a beautiful place with a gorgeous view of the ocean. I will definitely come back and pay a visit! 

What did you do for Valentine’s Day Kevin? Last Saturday (Feb. 14, 2009) , i spent my Valentine’s day photographing Eduardo and Maria along with Natalie Williams. The ceremony was held at a really nice church located in Santa Ana. The weather was vastly perfect. After the ceremony, we sailed our way to Disneyland California Adventure where we photographed the couples acting comfortably among themselves. It was an experience for me to be able to shoot in such a congested area surrounded by people observing.  I was amazed , yet blessed to have the chance to photograph Eduardo and Maria. Their love for each other have gone a long way. They both started dating ever since freshman year in high school.  As they teeter totter their way through school, on Maria’s 25th birthday she was raised a question on a romantic get away that Eduardo have planned. I want to thank both of them for allowing us to photograph their wedding. Thank you for a wonderful time and i hope you enjoy the images i captured.

It has been about 3 months since i’ve shot Matt and Kristine’s wedding along with Natalie Williams. The experience of being involved as a wedding photographer was quite the adventure since it was one of my first weddings that took place in Crescent Bay, Laguna Beach. As i recall, the weather was perfect and the entire wedding was well planned. I enjoyed the ceremony and had the most amazing experience. Thanks Matt and Kristine for allowing me to assist you on your day! This goes out to 2008 Weddings!
