Sunday  oooh Sunday! My fellow assistant photographers,  fotog photos and Jessie Valdivia went off rolling, climbing, running, and walking in the city of Fullerton, Yorba Linda, Brea, Chino Hills, and Carbon Canyon. I know you are probably thinking how the heck did we manage in time. I really can’t tell you the specifics, but all i have to say it was fast pace. In a few days, i will be showing more images from our day with Mike and Brittany. Here is a preview!

One day before Valentine’s day! What do you have planned for tomorrow evening? Everything is a surprise! I would share my  secrets for the “guys”, but i can’t since my girlfriend is probably reading this blog right now. I should keep my mouth shut and share with you what is about to come later.

During the week, the fotog crew went out to search for lands of field for our upcoming Urban Photo Shoot. As i remember about a year or two ago that there was a fire in Carbon Canyon, Chino Hills. It was a fire that lasted for weeks, which devastated the entire city of Corona, Yorba Linda, and Chino Hills. To bring the remembrance of what happened, i thought it would be neat to bring life into an image from capturing what is left of it. With the assistance of Jessie, we both took our lovely friends Jeff and Katie. With the naturalistic approach and mixture of vintage theme, the day was an accomplishment. I must say, Cooper sure have been apart of my life for the past 6 months. Just looking back on this image i took of him just when he was only 8 weeks old. This double chin, rambunctious, clumsy, and  human-like dog brings a smile to my face everyday. Despite of the past incident of chewing and tearing up my wall, i can’t stand being mad at his cute Shiba Inu’s face!!!  Come back for more images of Cooper. He’s getting bigger!!!

My love, my partner, my assistant photographer, and my dearest girlfriend Megan Pangan! We spent our Sunday in the backyard of Yorba Linda, which was where i grew up since a toddler! I would say nothing has changed about the area other than just more supermarkets. The thing i love about the atmosphere of Yorba Linda will have to be the nature scenery. The city just takes care of the area so well that i never want to leave!

It’s a BOY! hahaha On January 18, 2009, a teacup Yorkie named Kayden was born into a world where everything seem to be gigantic to him. Especially having Megan and I stumping as we approach our little puppy with happiness. Being only 10 weeks old, Kayden is potty trained, as well as, the easiest buddy i have ever taken care of. I’m looking forward to a wonderful experience with a new member to our family. Welcome Kayden!!!! 

The past few days have been the most relaxing days i ever had in a long time. I would be spending time with close friends to having a nice dinner in Culver City with my photog buddies ( Henry and Adrienne ). It’s been quite a stressful semester maintaining photography, work, and school. However that is not going to stop me from doing what i love. I’ve been contemplating if i should pursue a career in a medical field or advance myself within photography. I have lots of decisions to make as you can tell. Life is filled with surprises and you definitely can’t tell what is coming your way until you live it.

Stepping away from reality, i spent my weekend photographing Danielle Alcaraz at the LA River. I met her through a fashion shoot i had last fall that a friend of mine promoted. By working with Danielle, she have brought out my creative styles in a realm of fashion. If you haven’t seen Danielle, she is a former model for American Apparel. Well, i hope this week will go by fast because i really can’t wait to celebrate my father’s birthday and spending time with the family. YAY! 

After working a 10 hour shift at the hospital, it was time to unpack the camera to capture a gorgeous day out in Newport Beach. I was quite surprised that i made it alive throughout the day. Something about the beach just awakens me and suppresses the chaos that is going around the world. About a few weeks ago, Michelle Darlene invited me to assist her on a portrait session. I was glad she gave me the opportunity because it gave me a chance to bring out my creative ideas in working with a male model. Justin Baumann was very relaxed, which it never occurred to me that my day was complete without stress. Justin just acted naturally. For those that don’t know Justin, he is one of the promoters for 944 magazine, as well as, a model for “Lucky Brand”. He is currently working his way up to becoming a successful model. Stay tune because you never know…. He may be in the next GQ magazine. 

“Rain Rain Go Away, Please Come Back Another Day.” I continuously said that phrase throughout last week until it reached Friday, because that was when mother nature was listening to me and brought out the sun. I was filled with happiness and energy running through my veins! I was in the spirit of just wanting to relax at Laguna Beach with a camera in hand. Michelle Darlene made that day possible driving me and the model out to the beach. The clouds made my day a lot easier. Especially providing me with a warm light that wasn’t so harsh on my model. You probably have seen her in my previous posts in January. She is a good friend of mine who strives to become a great hair-stylist and make-up artist. Angelica Datuin is her name! Do you remember her? Well if you don’t, it’s okay because now you can absorb her name. She will be starting a new life in San Francisco this Friday. I will definitely miss her company in Southern California. But i know the strength of our friendship is strong, and one day i will see her again. This goes out to you Angelica Datuin! I hope you enjoyed this day as much as i did. 

Being in the realm of photography, the years sure went by quickly. I remember where it first started when i bought my Olympus SLR camera. It was hilarious how small of an SLR it was. The quality wasn’t that great, but it got the job done for just shooting about anything in my room. = ) I couldn’t believe i would advance so far within this “so called passion of mine”. But i must thank a great friend “slash” partner for drawing my mind toward Wedding Photography. Natalie Williams have been by my side ever since we first shot together. I am grateful to have met her in my life. Amateurs that we were back then, progress have definitely paid it’s way! Here are some images i took of  Natalie after from being drenched in the rain.

A week ago my cousin have asked me to photograph him and his girlfriend for winter formal. As i look back, i wish i had a photographer to take my moments with my fellow partner. Although, i would have never thought of hiring a photographer during high school, however, i’m glad that i was able to capture the love between my cousin and his girlfriend.

These images where taken in my hometown called Yorba Linda, Ca. I drove round and round finding the best place that will fit the mood between these couples. Repetitive fire of my camera as my cousin makes the best out of his day with his girlfriend brought the joy and love in their images. This is for you Thomas, i hope you and Annie enjoy it!
