I can’t stop raving how much i love San Diego. It’s a drive from Yorba Linda, but it’s well worth the photoshoot. Megan Pangan and I had our summer vacation early in June. Exploring downtown and walking the streets of Little Italy, i sometimes felt that i needed a change in location. Speaking from 10 years from now, i really don’t know what will happen. Balboa Park, i have to thank Binh and Kimba for being troopers for shooting in such hot climate. We went around finding the most intimate spots that i felt would bring the love between these two. With the sun setting, the pictures came out to be what i was imagined. Thank you guys again for a lovely day!

Is it hot or it’s just fire sirens going off every 10 minutes? To get on with this blog entry, you may have seen this person on TV. You may even seen her as you passed by a very tasty bakery in Santa Monica. Rumanear Pho, an amazing and creative upcoming bride was broadcasted on Food Network Cake Challenge to create a spectacular Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Cake. Guess WHAT? She WON!!! Congratulations Rumy!!! You had the best decorating cake! Further, she works in a well known bake shop called Vanilla Bake Shop. Tons of macroons , stylish colorful cakes, and mouth dripping cupcakes that you can’t resist but to take a bite of it’s rich taste! So go and visit the place with your friends, family, and schoolmates!

Away from work, John and Rumy spent their time going out and making life worth wild. The passion of love was spelled gracefully as i photographed them at Paramount Ranch. As the sun sets within the countryside of Malibu, our time was well spent with laughters. From running with balloons to having a vintage picnic, this engagement session couldn’t been any better. To start off, i apologize for not updating my blog. Couple of months have been quite the workload. But i have redeemed myself over the past two weeks. More images will be coming every week.

As far as i can remember, Oakland was such a wonderful place to photograph an engagement. I can’t forget how beautiful and urban the city was. Every where i went, i was struck with great ideas for a perfect moment of two great couples. The day seemed very short. I wish i could have stayed longer. But there is always a next time ( wedding ).

Ryan and Shari, as perfect as they are, their love shows so much through one simple image. On the flight back to Southern California, i was missing NorCal. I can’t figure what attracted me about Oakland–maybe it was the nature scenery or maybe it was a nice quiet place to relax. Who knows?

I want to apologize to all my viewers for not updating upon my current work. I know it’s been quite awhile from my previous blog post. My schedule is currently jammed pack. However, that means more images are coming your way! More cultural weddings, more engagement images, and more memories.

Fotog Photos and I took a toll toward a place where botanical fanatics would hang out on their leisure time. It was a gorgeous place, but also a crowded environment. Huntington Library, i can never say how beautiful you are when it comes to flowers and untouchable bridges. I would do anything to try to get a photograph on a bridge located in the Japanese Garden. There will always be a next time!

Few months ago i photographed two lovely couples at Santa Monica Pier for an engagement session. Through spending numerous of time laughing and enjoying the day with David and Candice, my assistants ( Megan Pangan and Josh Yu ) and i felt touched and honored to have the privilege in photographing their special day. We were all amazed as we approached the grand entrance to Langham Hotel in Pasadena. One of the most gorgeous hotels i had ever seen that was privately located on a hill that over looked Los Angeles. To end our day, we finished with a private session at Lacy Park and had a great time photographing their love for each other.

I can’t express enough how much fun it was to photograph outdoors in a natural setting with these two lovely couples. Mike and Brittney made the day at ease as they went on showing their love for each other. I hope you both enjoy the images! I also want to thank my fellow assistant photographers Fotog Photos and Jessie Valdivia for helping me on this shoot. We hiked and walked many miles around Fullerton and made our way toward Carbon Canyon. There was one incident where my boot almost got swamped by quicksand (fake). Literally, one step in this gigantic puddle of mud–my right foot was a goner. But nothing was going to stop from firing the camera. Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday  oooh Sunday! My fellow assistant photographers,  fotog photos and Jessie Valdivia went off rolling, climbing, running, and walking in the city of Fullerton, Yorba Linda, Brea, Chino Hills, and Carbon Canyon. I know you are probably thinking how the heck did we manage in time. I really can’t tell you the specifics, but all i have to say it was fast pace. Jeff and Katie, all i have to say is that both of you are awesome and natural within images. From traveling and eyeing around for a location that describes the type of feel i wanted for this shoot, Carbon Canyon is the place for urban and vintage photoshoots. Despite the old fashion road and a stench behind the bushes, we made this area come to life.

February 6, 2010 9:00 am. Megan, Jessie, and i drove to the bride’s house to sneak up on her to get some morning shots. Every bride seems to be always embarrass at first knowing that they are not fully ready for the big day. As i always see it, the before and after images of a makeover does not say much in an image other than the memories of an eventful day. We all enjoyed the laughter that was shared between the bride and her bridesmaids. Happy tears seen in their eyes knowing that their girlfriend is moving onto a new life. The day was unforgettable.

I deeply enjoyed these cultural weddings and i’m excited to be able to share to you what i have photographed at The Villa.
