“Rain Rain Go Away, Please Come Back Another Day.” I continuously said that phrase throughout last week until it reached Friday, because that was when mother nature was listening to me and brought out the sun. I was filled with happiness and energy running through my veins! I was in the spirit of just wanting to relax at Laguna Beach with a camera in hand. Michelle Darlene made that day possible driving me and the model out to the beach. The clouds made my day a lot easier. Especially providing me with a warm light that wasn’t so harsh on my model. You probably have seen her in my previous posts in January. She is a good friend of mine who strives to become a great hair-stylist and make-up artist. Angelica Datuin is her name! Do you remember her? Well if you don’t, it’s okay because now you can absorb her name. She will be starting a new life in San Francisco this Friday. I will definitely miss her company in Southern California. But i know the strength of our friendship is strong, and one day i will see her again. This goes out to you Angelica Datuin! I hope you enjoyed this day as much as i did. 

What did you do for Valentine’s Day Kevin? Last Saturday (Feb. 14, 2009) , i spent my Valentine’s day photographing Eduardo and Maria along with Natalie Williams. The ceremony was held at a really nice church located in Santa Ana. The weather was vastly perfect. After the ceremony, we sailed our way to Disneyland California Adventure where we photographed the couples acting comfortably among themselves. It was an experience for me to be able to shoot in such a congested area surrounded by people observing.  I was amazed , yet blessed to have the chance to photograph Eduardo and Maria. Their love for each other have gone a long way. They both started dating ever since freshman year in high school.  As they teeter totter their way through school, on Maria’s 25th birthday she was raised a question on a romantic get away that Eduardo have planned. I want to thank both of them for allowing us to photograph their wedding. Thank you for a wonderful time and i hope you enjoy the images i captured.

Being in the realm of photography, the years sure went by quickly. I remember where it first started when i bought my Olympus SLR camera. It was hilarious how small of an SLR it was. The quality wasn’t that great, but it got the job done for just shooting about anything in my room. = ) I couldn’t believe i would advance so far within this “so called passion of mine”. But i must thank a great friend “slash” partner for drawing my mind toward Wedding Photography. Natalie Williams have been by my side ever since we first shot together. I am grateful to have met her in my life. Amateurs that we were back then, progress have definitely paid it’s way! Here are some images i took of  Natalie after from being drenched in the rain.

Today was quite an interesting day. I usually would never do a photoshoot in a middle of the week due to amount of work i have to accomplish. Through all these life changes that struck me in the last few days, it got me thinking of what really makes me happy. The answer is solidified within photography. I get to express my own imaginations of how an image get to be displayed, as well as, bring out the emotions from my subject. With all the energy i have from today, i took my day to Melrose, Los Angeles. 

Los Angeles is known for their unique architectural buildings. The atmosphere just makes me feel like home. Thank goodness the weather cleared up today. It allowed Michelle and i to have a relaxing day shooting Tanner. Thanks for being patient with us Tanner! 

I realized after moving from Los Angeles back to Yorba Linda that i love living in the city. Los Angeles and San Francisco are cities that just attracts me by its lifestyle. A few weeks ago, i met with Bryan and Kathy to ask about certain places they love to have their engagement session to be held at. They read my mind!  Old Town Pasadena was the perfect place to enjoy a day behind the camera as Michelle Darlene and I fired away as these two young couples expressed their love for each other. Nothing beats anything than a happy couple, right?

To start off 2009, Doug and Lawrence and I spent our superbowl Sunday enjoying ourselves snapping away Chris and Arla’s engagement session at March Air Museum. It was quite the adventure as we went off trespassing areas that we’re not suppose to photograph at. I’m glad security didn’t get in our way due to our fast pace photography skills, because we sure broke the rules ahahahah. Good Times! 

Many friends have asked if Chris was in the Navy, which they thought is why the couples wanted their e-session to take place at an air museum. Actually, he was never in the Navy. The reason it was taken place at the museum is because Arla loves airplanes, and suggested that it will be interesting to have an engagement session done with something meaningful to her preference. 

I want to thank Doug and Lawrence once again for allowing me to join them in photographing Chris and Arla. As well, I want to thank Chris and Arla for allowing me to be involve on their engagement session.
