Why does the lead have less years professionally than the seconds?
Our second photographers enjoy the work and relatively less responsibility versus the lead. Our Seconds also have chosen to fulfill this roles and often stay with us about 2-5 years. The training program for all of our Leads is quite intense; think of it like an accelerated Master’s Program in college.
Our lead photographers first learn the experience of full 12 hour wedding and address the most problematic issues and how to work around them. Furthermore the lead photographers possess a talent to be the most creative with the most consistency to our Master Photographer Kevin Le Vu.
Are the images we receive edited?
Yes, all the images are edited for color correction; meaning that they will not be too warm or yellow; not too cold or blue. However the ambiance will never be altered.
What’s your style?
We teach all KLV photographers to let the couple and moment happen; so the couple’s style effectively dictates the moment’s captured. We are unobtrusive, thorough and photojournalistic.
how do I secure your team for my wedding?
We require a 20%-50% save-the-date deposit to secure us for any event.
How long does it take to receive my images?
4-6 weeks during wedding season (May -November) May be sooner during off-season.
How many images do receive?
There is no cap on the images we deliver. We don’t deliver images that are redundant, unflattering or unnecessary. You can expect an 8 hour timeline to receive about 800-1200 images. You’ll receive them via digital download at full resolution (5000-6000px jpeg.)
How many photographers will be at my wedding?
All of our packages include two photographers. The goal for our team is to capture your day in complete collection. Our team works to fill in the gap for the other. The Lead will focus primarily on the bride and the Primary Second will focus primarily on the groom. We also focus on the family and take in any photographic and family requests.
What’s the difference between lead and primary second photographer?
The lead photographer’s responsibilities extend past taking nice pictures. They must actively manage the timeline of the whole day. Their ability to problem solve must always consider the best possible outcomes for exposure, creativity and service to the wedding party and the guests. The lead genuinely leads the momentum of all other vendors and events of the day.
The Second is just as creative and wise. They plan to fill in the gap for the lead to create a complete collection for our couples. The Second can also (in cases of emergency) take over the responsibilities of the Lead.
